The project

ALPINVISION is an advanced cloud platform for the management of Renewable Energy Communities (CER), designed to generate benefits for all players involved in the ecosystem. It is developed to ensure simplicity, efficiency, transparency, and automation, providing all the necessary tools for this purpose and integrating a dynamic approach to interaction among target users to promote mutual growth.
The platform starts from a proof of concept (POC) developed in Anvil and evolves towards a scalable, flexible, and high-performance digital ecosystem.

The challenge

The challenge in developing ALPINVISION is to create a highly user-friendly platform that enables efficient and effective energy management of renewable energy communities, as well as their interface with any associated installer partners.
The objective is to provide an intuitive interface that simplifies user management,
monitoring and the optimization of energy production and consumption, while integrating advanced tools for data analysis, reporting, and the redistribution of incentives generated by energy sharing, without compromising ease of use for users.

The approach

ALPINVISION adopts an agile development approach, allowing continuous evolution of the platform through rapid iterations, constant feedback, and active involvement of stakeholders.
This methodology ensures an effective response to the constantly evolving needs of energy communities.

From a technological perspective, the platform is designed according to a three-level layer architecture:

  • Presentation layer: an intuitive and responsive user interface, designed to provide a smooth and accessible experience.
  • Application layer: management of application logic and business processes, with a strong focus on scalability and modularity.
  • Data layer: relational database and possible integration with heterogeneous data sources (such as external devices and management systems) for the acquisition, processing, and analysis of different types of data.

This approach guarantees flexibility, maintainability, and high performance, which are essential for modern and effective management, simplifying a market connected to regulatory complexity.

Results

The project is currently under development, with the release of version 1.0 expected in June 2025. The platform has already been functionally validated through the POC and UX/UI mockups. Significant improvements are expected in management efficiency and in the spread of Renewable Energy Communities.
